Square and securely bound; still very attractive. This is an interesting manual for musicians in that it offers dozens of prepared embellishments for performing… jazz in the 1920's. It is, in a sense, prepared improvisations -- sort of like practicing to be spontaneous. It is interesting that the title includes "blues" at a time when most Delta blues singers were still unrecorded. "Blues" obviously refers to the great female blues performers and this book suggests just how important they were. ; Musical Notation; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 30 pages.
