Boards in d.j. Illus. Peter Shepheard (illustrator). Octavo, illustrated boards, illustrated dustjacket, 16 colour plates, 31 pages of text plus the plates. Very good condition in like (price-clipped) dustjacket. An attractive King Penguin book, illustrated to the boards and dustjacket with a repeated pattern of owls. The colour plates are by Peter Shepheard (1913 - 2002), later Sir Peter Shepheard, the British artist, architect and landscape architect.
