Splendid pastel artwork throughout- whales and dolphins, horses and Pegasus, even the devil himself - pitchfork and all. In wonderful condition, for a first-rate children's collection.

Couverture rigide. Condition: Bon état. In-folio à l'italienne 29 x 37 cm. Cartonnage éditeur demi-toile rouge, dos muet, plats biseautés illustrés, enièrement illusté de dessins de A. Vimard dans et hors texte, 67 pp. Cartonnage poussiéreux, coupes frottées, intérieur assez frais avec queques rousseurs et petites déchirures marginales. Auguste Vimar (1851-1916) fut sans conteste le dessinateur animalier préféré de l'enfance sous la IIIe République ; il influença durablement Benjamin Rabier. in-folio.

Einband berieben und fleckig, Ecken und Kanten berieben und bestoßen, Rücken mit kleiner Beschädigung. Name in großer Schrift auf vorderem Vorsatz, hinteres Vorsatz (mit Einriss) u. Innendeckel vermalt. Papier altersbedingt gebräunt und leicht fingerfleckig. Insgesamt noch sammelwürdiges Exemplar. Sprache: Französisch Gewicht in Gramm: 700.
