Title has small ink stamp on front and number and stamp on verso. Some blind stamps within. Ink marks on first page of Preface. Small tears in title page edge. Some spotting and thumbing. Title continues: "A History of the Operations of a Partisan Corps, Called The Queen's Rangers, Commanded by Lieut. Col. J. G. Simcoe, During the War of the American Revolution; Illustrated by Ten Engraved Plans of Actions, &c. Now First Published, With A Memoir of the Author and Other Additions." Simcoe tells the story of the most famous Loyalist regiment in the Revolutionary War. Many of its men settled in Canada after American independence. Interesting fold-outs portray battlegrounds and troop movements. Originally published by the author in Exeter in 1787 for his own private distribution.
