Add to basketFacsimile reprint of this scarce book, first published for private circulation in 1914. Slatter was first employed at Lord's in 1861 as a pavilion attendant and scorecard seller. His ideas were incorporated in the design of the ground's present pavilion, which was built in 1889. Recalling the time when the old pavilion burnt down, the days when there were ponds on the playing area and when reporters paid to enter the ground, this book gives a unique insight of Lord's between 1820 and 1914. 8vo. Illustrated front endpaper (a plan of Lord's) [6] + 32pp. Dust-wrapper, very good.
