Poor/none, used, hardcover, illustrated textured binding, patterned end papers, 175pp. Interior clean, no marks except former owners names and date at the top fore-corner of the 4th blank page. Contents still firmly bound together except the first 3 pages are dis-bound. The contents are loose from the binding. Wear to binding at the corners and the head and tail of the spine with paper and cloth missing at both. Youn People's Library edition.

Includes frontis steel engraving of the author w/tissue guard. Condition of the binding is Poor: wear at spine top & bottom and board corners; casing, front endpaper & frontis almost completely detached; title page is detached; initial few signatures stressed or starting at the interior margin. Condition of the text is Good: occasional marginal chip or crease; paper is significantly age toned, text otherwise clean and unmarked.

Decorative Cloth. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Later Printing. fragile and slightly cocked binding, but still together. No markings. foxing throughout. Front hinge has been taped with scotch tape to keep the paper down and a strip of the paper inside the front board is gone ( like a piece of tape touched it). Decorative boards are lightly soiled and sun darkened spine. Boards and gilding are bright and whole. light shelf wear. Email for pictures.
