Boards rubbed and bumped. Two illustrations serve as the frontispieces. One of Lee and the other of Stratford House. Lightly foxed. Each chapter is preceded by an engraving which has some foxing on it that shows over on the first pages of those chapters. 500 pages plus 2 pages of publisher's ads. There is a date of 1865 on the copyright page and 1867 on the bottom of the title page but it is the first edition under this title (Ref. Wright Howes, S-750) Again, a solid reading copy but definitely not in collectible condition.
