Trascurabile alone limitato a pochi centimetri del margine esterno della sola carta 7. Qualche sporadica macchietta. Esemplare nel complesso fresco e ben conservato. Importante e rara edizione in volgare di questo celebre trattato del giureconsulto milanese Andrea Alciato o Alciati (1492-1550) dedicato monograficamente al tema del duello. L'Autore indaga i seguenti aspetti: storia, regole, sfida, armi, trattative, testimonianze, combattimento e risoluzione. In fine riscontriamo alcuni interessantissimi consilia (sempre tradotti in volgare) dello stesso Alciato e del grande giurista senese Mariano Socini il Giovane (1482-1556), successore proprio di Alciato all'Università di Bologna. Ancora oggi previsto dal nostro codice civile l istituto giuridico in materia testamentaria di cui gli si attribuisce la paternità, la c.d. cautela sociniana . Questo suo manuale giuridico ebbe enorme successo tanto che fu pubblicato ben 16 volte in diversi paesi europei nel corso del XVI Secolo.
