The author joined the US Immigration Service in 1911 at Tucson, later transferring to Douglas and in 1913 to El Paso where he was selected to head the Immigration Border Patrol when it was formed in 1924. In 1926 he was transferred to San Antonio to head the patrol in that district. Finally in 1930 he went to San Ysidro as Officer in Charge of the port of entry, a position he held until his retirement in 1953. This volume consists of his memoirs of his time with Immigration and the Border Patrol, and is well illustrated with contemporary photographs. Size: 8vo.

This book commemorates the centennial of the surrender of Naiche and Geronimo on September 4, 1886, virtually ending the Apache Wars in southern Arizona. As stated this is a review copy submitted to author and frontier military historian Douglas C. McChristian and has his tasteful imprint on the second fep.
