Past owner's ink signature on front free endpaper; slight toning to endpapers; light creases at tops of several early leaves; top corners of pages 33-34 and 103-104 creased from past fold-downs; a few scattered spots of minor soiling to interior leaves which, overall, remain quite clean. Binding is firm. A very good copy of an uncommon and well regarded Union Army regimental. With mounted frontispiece portrait of the author with facsimile signature; second mounted b/w plate on page 90. The Library of Congress catalog cites the book's publisher/printer as Acme Printing Co. of Washington, D.C. but that imprint eludes a quick perusal of this copy.
