Book First Edition Signed
Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition, first impression. Quarto, pp 326, illustrated throughout with colour and b/w photographs. Bound in blue cloth covered hard boards and in the original dust jacket. SIGNED to the half-title page by Carroll Shelby, John Whitmore and one other unidentified signature. The most comprehensive book about the GT40 and an essential guide for all enthusiasts. Fine condition book in a Near Fine jacket which is a little spine faded. John Whitmore drove a works GT40 at Le Mans in 1965 and 1966. Carroll Shelby's name is of course synonymous with the GT40 programme and was played by Matt Damon in the hugely successful 2019 film Le Mans '66 (aka "Ford vs Ferrari"). A scarce and desireable book, much enhanced by the driver signatures. Signed by Author(s).
