Die vorliegende Studie versucht, unter besonderer Betonung der Rückstellung von zwischen 1938 - 1945 entzogenem Vermögen bzw. der Entschädigung für einzelne nicht mehr restituierbare Vermögenswerte des Vermögens von Juden und Jüdinnen, neue Erkenntnisse sowohl über den Vermögensentzug als auch die Restitution nach 1945 sowie über die dazwischen liegenden Wechselbeziehungen zu gewinnen. Aus den im Österreichischen Staatsarchiv liegenden rund 60.000 Vermögensanmeldungen wurde eine repräsentative Stichprobe gezogen. Die darin enthaltenen Angaben wurden durch Informationen über Rückstellung bzw. Entschädigung entzogenen Vermögens aus den Nachkriegssunterlagen - soweit vorhanden - erweitert, ergänzt und in einer Datenbank erfasst. In erster Linie wurden, vor allem die Akten aus dem Bereich der Finanzlandesdirektion Wien, Niederösterreich und Burgenland sowie des Abgeltungsfonds, daneben aber auch andere geeignete Quellenbestände herangezogen, wie z.B. Grundbücher, die Anmeldungen über entzogenes Vermögen gemäß der so genannten Vermögensentziehungs-Anmeldungsverordnung und Akten zu Restitutionsverfahren vor Rückstellungskommissionen. Ergänzt wurden die Verlust- und Entschädigungsdaten durch jene Fälle geschädigter Personen im Sample, die über das Kriegs- und Verfolgungssachschädengesetz eine Teilkompensation erhielten. Neben einer Analyse der Globalzahlen der Vermögensentwicklung wurden auch die zentralen Kategorien wie Liegenschaften, Kapitalvermögen (unter Einschluss von Unternehmensbeteiligungen), Schmuck und Versicherungen im Detail untersucht. Die auf Grund der hohen Liquidationsrate spärlichen Restitutionsdaten zu Unternehmen ließen nur Teilbewertungen zu, bestimmte Trends zeigen sich aber auch hier. Das hier vorgelegte Arbeit unterscheidet sich von herkömmlichen Statistikprojekten dadurch, dass bei Auswertung und Analyse der Daten eine umfassende historische Quellenkritik sowohl im Bereich des Vermögensentzugs als auch der Restitution permanent angewandt wurde. Durch den spezifischen Zugang können fragmentarische Ergebnisse Erkenntnisse liefern, die für die Gesamtinterpretation der drei Vermögensbewegungen von Juden und Jüdinnen sowie deren Erben - Stand 1938, Entzug bis 1945 und Restitution nach 1945 - nützlich sind. Nach kurzer Truppendienstleistung wurde er 1907 Militärattaché in St. Petersburg, wo er gute Beziehungen zur russ. militär. Führung aufbaute; 1908 Mjr. und Flügeladj. des K. Durch den Hinweis eines befreundeten Diplomaten hätte er beinahe den für Rußland spionierenden Obst. Alfred Redl (s. d.) enttarnt, wurde jedoch in Wien mit seiner Information ausgerechnet an diesen verwiesen. Bald darauf wurde S. durch Kontakte zu einem Informanten in Rußland kompromittiert und mußte abberufen werden. Eigenen Angaben zufolge soll er dabei einer Intrige Redls zum Opfer gefallen sein. Er half deren Neutralität sowie kriegswichtige Lebensmitteltransporte sicherzustellen und organisierte nach dem Zusammenbruch der Mittelmächte den Abtransport der Ost-Armee aus der Ukraine. Nach dem Krieg war S. schriftsteller. tätig; 1927?31 fungierte er als Präs. der Wr. Campagne-Reiter-Ges. Sein Nachlaß, eine wichtige Quelle zu den österr.-russ. Questa interessante monografia sull'utilità della coltivazione dei campi è incentrata sul territorio del senese come sottolineato dall'autore nella prefazione. Antica nota manoscritta alla prima carta bianca che commenta il volume ". Alle pag. 131 e 133 dimostra gli inconvenienti che detta negligente coltivazione ne derivano nel celibato e nel matrimonio". L'autore suddivide l'opera in due discorsi: il primo è sull'utilità dell'agricoltura, il secondo è sulla coltivazione e il suo utile. Ex libris al contropiatto anteriore. In buone condizioni. This interesting monography about the cultivation of fields is focused on the land of Siena area as underlined in the prefation by the author.
