This is the 8th Annual edition (1948) for the Highlands Inns on the West Coast - including California and Oregon / Washington. The book covers have noticaeble edgewear and the top front corner and bottom front spine joint corner has been chewed (looks like a set of dog teeth). Only the front cover has damage - the rest of the book is in clean, bright condition. The book is a combination history / travel planner that includes history about the areas (where there are Highland Inns) and ideas for places to visit while you're in the area. Also included are adverts for just about everything a traveler might need, including high fashion, jewelry, fine dining, nightclubs, and much more.
