First Obl. 4to, stiff stapled pictorial wrappers. 48 pp, 57 b/w illustrations. The second in a series selected from a compendium of Stanton's drawings, "American Steam Vessels," published in 1895. Stanton edited or contributed to a number of nautical journals of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and was also a muralist for several Hudson River steamboats of the period. Returning from study at the Acadamie Julien, he went down on the Titanic on April 14, 1912. Very good except for a spine-edge tear and moderate cover edge wear and creasing.
