Slim 4to, pp64 with chromolithographic illustrations throughout, mostly full page, with sepia illustrations throughout the text. Hardcover no dust jacket. Binding of Light brown cloth spine over decorative paper covered boards in good condition with some shelf wear to top and tail of spine, rubbing to all edges and tips and some scratches and small marks with samll tear to top of spine. Inside gift inscription to FFE paper dated "Christmas 1883" spine cracked in a couple of places with back hinge also cracked leaving book cocked but with binding still tight. All pages and illustrations in excellent condition, clean and bright with no signs of aging. a nice copy of this beautifully illustrated book.

Inside gift inscription to front free end paper dated "December31st, 1883", spine cracked to pages16/17 but binding still sound. All pages and plates in very good condition with some marks and spots of aging throughout, otherwise nice and bright. A very nice copy of this charming collection of whimsical stories and poems, beautifully illustrated.

End papers are lovely leaf forms in light green and white. tritle page has beautiful color litho graphs from the victoran era. Pencil marks on top right of page. All pages are illustrated in either the two color sepia type tones or the full color litho's. Really Nice copy, very clean. Tightly bound but has a slight loosenin to some parts on the inside only.
