No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Very Good. One page typed letter of introduction, 8 x 10", on behalf of Mr. Fielding J. Stilson, who was about to travel to China and Japan, signed Wm. D. Stephens. Stephens (1859-1944) was Governor of California from 1917 to 1923. A Progressive, he is remembered for his suppression of the I.W.W. and for commuting Tom Mooney's death sentence.
