First Edition. Ethel Stefana Stevens, Lady Drower weas a prominent early woman traveller to the middle east. While in Iraq, Drower began to develop what would become a lifelong fascination with the Mandaeans. This copy of her famous work on Iraqi culture, religion, and archaeology has been rebound in a high quality binding of black quarter leather on cloth. No inscriptions. VG+. Scarce.
