HekkefuglAtlas for Troms presenterer utberedelsen av 192 fuglearter som er registrert hekkende i løpet av de siste tretti år. Alle artene er beskrevet med hensyn på utbredelse, føde- og habitatvalg, og hekkeutbredelsen er vist på egne artskart. I tillegg er alle påviste fuglearter i troms presentert i en egen liste. Dette er den første samlede presentasjon av kunnskapen om hekkeutbredelsen av fugler i troms etter at Norsk Fugleatlas ble utgitt i 1994 av Norsk Ornitologisk forening. HekkefuglAtlas for Troms er vesentlig oppdatert i forhold til Norsk Fugleatlas, og det er inkludert langt mer lokal informasjon om artene. Boka vil være av interesse for alle som er opptatt av fugler i den nordlige landsdelen av Norge. Videre vil boka være nyttig for miljøforvaltningen og velegnet for skoleverket i naturfagundervisningen. The Breeding Bird Atlas for Troms presents the compilation of 192 bird species that have been recorded breeding during the last thirty years. All the species are described with regard to distribution, food and habitat choice, and the breeding distribution is shown on separate species maps. In addition, all detected bird species in Troms are presented in a separate list. This is the first comprehensive presentation of knowledge about the distribution of breeding birds in Troms after the Norwegian Bird Atlas was published in 1994 by the Norwegian Ornithological Association. The Breeding Bird Atlas for Troms has been substantially updated in relation to the Norwegian Bird Atlas, and far more local information about the species is included. The book will be of interest to anyone interested in birds in the northern part of Norway.
