'with author's complts'+initials (this off-set on browning half-title). Although basic clean and unmarked this is affected throughout along bottom edge by pigment staining from covers, plus sl. marginal spotting. Red cloth covers sound and generally clean but fr. has a narrow vertical strip of discoloration presumably caused by water drip (hence internal staining), a few black spots on back, otherwise covers only sl.shelf-worn at extrems.
