Hardcover. Condition: Fair. George Kerr (illustrator). The sub-title is The Story of How We Look From Where the Dog Sits.The cover has beige cloth with black title blocks. Ten chapters; the head of each has a b/w illustration of a dog. The top margin of each left hand page has "Dogs is Dogs." The top margin of each right hand page has "Four in Family." One chapter has the n-word a couple of times. The spine strip has darkened, has vertical bend lines, missing 1/2 in. of cloth from the top end, and the bottom edge is frayed. The boards' cloth is soiled from shelf wear and has two linear 1 in. black stains, Over half of the page margins have stains: two each have a large stain, and four have multiple stains. Several pages have a chip or a crease line on a corner. The endpapers have darkened in a mottled fashion. The front one has two gift inscriptions. The first one includes the year 1913.
