Two men hunt and eventually trap the cat, resulting in the near fatal mauling of the one of them. During his recovery, he falls in love with the other man's wife, who is tending to him, and begins heavily drinking, until he must venture out to face the tiger again. 8 x 10 inches. Robert Taylor shines in this challenging role an ex-pilot accused of murdering his wife after discovering she is having an affair with her boss (Herbert Marshall). Unfortunately he suffers from a war injury that results in occasional blackouts, and he goes on a desperate hunt (aided by a sympathetic psychiatric doctor Audrey Totter) in an attempt to find out the truth. 8 x 10 inches. First Draft script for the 1958 film with single "?" notation in manuscript pencil. Good-guy Max (Tom Ewell) and mooch Gus (Mickey Rooney) are horse-race loving pals whose lives are going nowhere. Desperate, they turn to bank robbery and actually pull it off. Using the money to buy a race horse, their bookie pal Rocky (Mickey Shaughnessy) wants in. When they loose their bank roll after their horse is disqualified, they figured they'd rob a bank again. Revised Shooting Final script for the 1954 film. Actor Van Heflin's copy. Includes a 10-page shooting schedule. Loosely based on the St. Albans Raid, the northernmost land action of the American Civil War. The film took great liberties, changing both the time and motivation for the raid. In the film, a group of Confederate POWs escape across the US-Canada border to plan an attack on St. Albans Vermont. They send ahead of them a spy who begins to question the ethics of their mission. Goldenrod titled wrappers, noted as Revised Shooting Final on the front wrapper, dated December 10, 1953. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Based in Georges Simenon's 1949 novel, "Le fond de la bouteille" ("The Bottom of the Bottle," published in the US in the 1954 collection, "Tidal Wave"). The film centers around a wealthy rancher (Cotten) in the border town of Nogales, Arizona, and his brother (Johnson), a drunk, who escapes from prison and hides in his garage. Johnson wants his brother, the rancher, to help him across the Santa Cruz River into the Mexico, where his wife (Shirley Patterson as Shawn Smith) lives in squalor. A story set and shot on location in the Arizona. 8 x 10 inches. Light rubbing overall, else Near Fine.
