Dust Jacket Condition: dj. Tall octavo, burgundy hardcover, spine embossed with gilt lettering, xvi, 172 pp., four additional leaves (unpaginated), frontispiece. Very light spotting on endpapers and edges of text block, dust-jacket very slightly worn with light foxing on inside; otherwise a near-fine copy. Second American edition, revision of the 1978 edition. Stephen Tabachnick, author of several works on Lawrence, examines Lawrence's two autobiographies, Seven Pillars of Wisdom and The Mint. In doing so he considers what Lawrence wished his writing to reveal not only about himself, but also about love, death, heroism and cross-culture conflict. O'Brien, E376b.
