Fut publié une première fois en 1760 dans l'Encyclopédie économique, rustique et politique.François-Joseph Taintenier (1729 - 1776) fut échevin d'Ath à diverses reprises, auteur de divers mémoires adressés aux Etats de Hainaut tel son Mémoire sur l'économie politique en général et plus particulièrement du Haynau. Issu d'une solide famille de bourgeoisie marchande spécialisée dans l?impression des toiles ; la famille Taintenier était originaire du pays d'Ath et nombre de ses membres exerceront des fonctions dans l'ordre judiciaire et dans la magistrature communale ou acteront comme hommes de fief sur plume de la Cour Féodale de Hainaut.
