Cloth a bit rubbed on the edges, some pulling at top and bottom of spine, owner's inscription elegantly in ink on ffep, very good thus. Author was an architect, who had also produced a monograph on Inigo Jones. The present work is a typical high-quality Batsford architectural folio of this period. Soft cover. Condition: New. 52 pages of black & white designs of historical wooden panelling, compiled by H Tanner Jnr, including scale and measured drawings of door cases, cornices, dado rails and other features. Ref. No. 159.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair/good. Elephant folio. 50 full page plates. Next to foxing or soiling of any kind. The red boards are rubbed and worn at the corners. But the spine is robust apart from a creased tear at the top back edge of the head, along with oher modest wear to head and foot. The main defect is the partial separation of the bulk of the plates from the binding. Up to plate 28, they are actually loose. But no nicks, just a little creasing to the spine dge of the first of them. Gilt titling on front board is bright; less so but very legible in spine. Photos available on request.…
