"Sunday Teddy" was a popular pitcher who debuted with the Chicago White Sox in 1923, remaining there until 1946, whereupon he then managed that team from 1946 to 1948; in 1955 he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. With original transmittal envelope on which Lyons inks his name and Vinton, Louisiana address at upper left. Accompanied by a pristine Dover Reprint facsimile reproduction of a glossy 2½" X 3" "Big League Chewing Gum" baseball card depicting Lyons in White Sox uniform about to wind up for a pitch.

TED LYONS (1900-1986). A Hall of Fame pitcher with a 260-230 record, he is best remembered for throwing for the White Sox. He won twenty games three times.Signed HOF card. 3 x 5 . No date. No place. A Hall of Fame card signed Ted Lyons in black marker on the top border. The card is in very fine condition.
