Presented in a bespoke portfolio with paper covers and cloth spine (toned, lightly rubbed at edges, more heavily at loosened spine ends, some minor indentations,) with linen ribbon ties; interior of portfolio is toned with cracking along backstrip). Contains parts 4 and 5 of Temple's magnificent work describing and recording paintings in the Wallace Collection. With 21 fine photogravure reproductions of painting, most of which are present in two states - on Japanese Vellum and on India Paper, each with a loose tissue-guard, some hand coloured by Manzi and Joyant. Part wrappers are toned and chapped at edges, soiled along spine. Some spotting throughout, not affecting images. Printed in red and black. A large, handsome production.
