No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Popular American author Temple Bailey (1869-1953) typed this detailed letter to a fan in 1937 giving a detailed account of her time spent living in Marblehead, Massachusetts. She writes in part" "In the early days the view was marvellous [sic], and from our porch we could see from Gloucester Lights to Minot's. My first book, GLORY OF YOUTH, which is a bit amateurish, has a Marblehead background." Temple Bailey was a prolific writer. She contributed to numerous publications, including: The Saturday Evening Post, Cosmopolitan, The American Magazine, Woman's Home Companion, and Good Housekeeping. Her various novels sold over an estimated 3 million copies, making her one of the best paid writers of her day. Typed on a 9" x 5 1/2" sheet of "Wardman Park Washington, D. C." imprinted stationery. Condition: Mailing fold lines, mounting remnants on verso, otherwise very good condition with a large, bold signature. Signed by Author(s).
