The study revealed that the uptake of ferric ions from aqueous media was found to be dependent on pH, adsorbent dosage, initial concentration, agitation time and temperature. The maximum adsorption capacity for male and female activated carbon was found to 17.2 mg/g and 22.2 mg/g respectively.
