This is the first printing of the paperback original of that title. The Judas Goat, a mystery, was published previously in a hardcover edition. This is the first printing of the paperback edition. Pages are clean with light toning without creases, marks, wrinkles or stains. The book's exterior is clean except for a few tiny greenish dots on top (outer page edges). Its spine has a light reading crease. Also creased in the upper right corner of the cover of The Judas Goat. There is light wear to edges of covers and spine. Issued as Ace Double Books D-13 (pocketbook format, two titles bound back to back). A fine, clean, sharp copy on off-white paper. A very nearly perfect copy of a scarce book. Long considered to be the first Ace Science Fiction Double, as the plot deals with the efforts of Medicine to control plagues which are feared to result from germ warfare. Theodore Drachman (1904-1988) was a US doctor, epidemiologist and public health official.
