Complete.Bound in full cloth.Illustrated with diagrams, monochrome vignettes and plates and seven colour plates and a colour map…to 'series I' and one colour plate and one tipped in colour plate to 'series II'. Collated complete.This two volume set includes the complete four series collection of this Norwegian ornithological journal, containing numbers 1-15. The series was edited by Hans Thomas Lange Schaanning, a Norwegian zoologist, ornithologist and curator of birds at the Stavenger museum. Schaanning was also the founder of the Norwegian Ornithological Society which funded this journal and ran from 1920-1935.Original front of wrap adhered to the front pastedown of each volume. Bound in full cloth. Original front of wrap adhered to the front pastedown of each volume and title page retained. Externally very smart with fading to the spines and the head of the front board and slight marks to the boards. Bookplate belonging to 'I. D. Pennie' to the front free endpapers with the odd minor mark only. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with the odd minor mark only. The map and one of the colour plates to 'Series I' are closely cropped, resulting in slight loss to the map. Very Good. None stated (illustrator). book.
