Terza ed ultima edizione, dopo quelle del… 1567 (al frontespizio è indicato 1578) e del 1571, sempre del Meda (la prima con il fratello Gerolamo) di un riassunto della millenaria storia di Milano. "Il Tholosano per autorità di Catone, dice che questi Toscani entrassero nell?Insubria sotto la scorta di Olano loro Capitano, che fece ristorar Subria, e la fece città sotto l?anno del mondo creato 2595, quale qui habbitando con li Orobij, li impose il suo nome che poi da Medo Capitano delli Insubri, Galli, scacciati li Toscani, fu detto Medolano" (in "Scandaglio historico dell'antico contado leopontico", 1866, pgg.13-14). > Predari, 134, in riferimento all'edizione 1571, senza indicazione dell'autore, "Fu ristampato con note ed aggiunte da Massimo Fabi, nella "Biblioteca storica italiana", Milano, 1835, tomo II. Ancora Predari, 194, per l'edizione 1567, stavolta con il nome del Tolosano, "E' libro rarissimo. E' la medesima sotto il titolo di "Compendio". Sempre per l'edizione 1567, anche nel "Catalogo della Biblioteca del Senato", appendice I, 592, viene segnalato N. Tolosano come autore dell'opera. Bocca, 2946, non ne fa cenno. 100 gr.
