Bound in contemporary full calf, five raised bands bordered in gilt rules, leather label, tooled edges. Very Good Plus, end pages toned at edges, covers lightly rubbed, text quite clean and fresh. A quite handsome and well-bound copy of this uncommon edition of Lucretius's classic work.

Grangerised copy with the six plates and extra engraved title (engraved by Wandelaar after Frans van Mieris) from the 1725, 4to edition of Janssonios Van Der Aa, all bound-in on stubs. In contemporary full mottled calf, spine and edges gilt. An attractive copy marrying the elegant letterpress associated with the imprint and Wanderlaar's wonderful engravings of Frans van Mieris illustrations.
