"Special Presentation Edition", LIMITED TO 1000 NUMBERED COPIES (this is copy #500), SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. SCARCE.

Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. New York: Prentice-Hall, [1953]. Special Presentation Edition Limited to 1000 copies of which this is no. 963. Octavo; publisher's cloth-backed boards, green topstain, in pictorial dust jacket; [6],375pp. Moderate wear to jacket margins including a number of small chips and closed tears, most notably at spine crown, spine panel verso spotted, corners bumped and spine a bit cocked, textblock a shade toned, especially on pp. 160-1 from exposure to previously-removed news clipping; overall a Very Good only copy. Warmly inscribed and signed on limitation page by the author, "To Tony and Hazel Dey [?] with warmest regards and sincere friendship / New Years 1953 / Lajos Zilahy.".
