Typed signed letter from the author to Felix Dennis, Dorsington Manor, Dorsington, Warwickshire, CV37 8AR addressed from 23 Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QW dated March 12, 2014 and consisting of about 140 words in which he says 'I haven't had an opportunity to thank you for your kindness in sending me copies of your complete collection of poetry books. Please know your work has brought many hours of pleasure.' In return for his generosity he encloses his first children's book which he hopes will become part of a trilogy. Received stamp on letter dated 14 Mar 2014. With the small attractive bookplate showing a bookish owl of 'Oz' publisher, later media tycoon Felix Dennis (1947-2014) on verso of front free endpaper. 'Gift from author March 2014' handwritten in pencil on the bookplate. Felix Dennis was also a distinguished poet, philanthropist, book collector and lover of trees (The Forest of Dennis). Debby Faulkner-Stevens (born 1954) is an award winning illustrator who specialises in miniatures. Barry Thornton, a Stratford-upon-Avon based ceramics dealer has written several books for children featuring Kit the theatrical mouse.
