Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. I could not find another copy of this book for sale anywhere on the Internet. I bought it some years ago directly from Rabbi, scholar and psychoanalyst Alan W. Miller. He stamped his name off the top edge of the first page along with the date (12.15.94). He underlined a number of sentences in three essays, one by Theodore J. Cachey from the University of Notre Dame, the second by Giovanni Cecchetti from The University of California, the third by Michelangelo Picone from Universitat Zürich. Here is some identifying information with regard to the book. It is the product of 'Lectura Dantis', a forum for Dante research and interpretation. The Journal is published twice a year in the fall and spring by the Italian Program, Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, University Of Virginia. This Journal is Number 12: Supplement, Spring 1993. It also states 'Special Issue: Lectura Dantis Virginiiana, II Dante's Purgatorio: Introductory Readings. This Supplement runs 501 pages. The book is in very nice shape. You can see the green covers in the photos. They are very clean. On the rear cover (third photograph) there's a small area where the green is a little lighter. The spine is also sun toned to a lighter green, and there are two very light vertical creases on the spine. The spine has a moderate forward lean, but the book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout (there is one instance, between facing pages 160 and 161, where there is a slight space at their juncture, but both pages are tightly bound from top to bottom. Both covers are nicely, tightly bound. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. The pages are exceptionally clean. I haven't found any instances of soiling. I'm not finding any conspicuous creasing, no placeholder creases, no turned-down corners. And finally, there are no attachments anywhere in the book, the journal.
