Black and white illustrated plates. Spine covering missing; boards almost fully detached. Minor foxing and tanning to pages and plates. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Pen inscription to front free endpaper. Severe cracking to gutters and hinges, exposing netting causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Boards have moderate corner bumping and edge-wear with visible tanning, chipping and scuffing overall. Spine has heavy splitting, fraying and tanning with loss of covering and crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Boards almost detached. Areas of heavier sunning and dust staining.
