No Binding. Condition: Very Good. A group of six Committee ribbons from the Sons of England Benevolent Society. Late 19th century, 3 are dated 1899 and 1900. Average size is about 14cm long and 4cm wide and the ribbon with the shield at the top is 22 X 5cm. All in excellent condition. The Sons of England Benevolent Society was a fraternal society for English Protestants, founded in Toronto in 1874. A network of hundreds of lodges & chapters was established throughout Canada to bring Englishmen together for mutual support, celebrate the Anglo-Protestant culture, and provide financial assistance to them in times of hardship or death.
