Inúmeras questões se agravam, surgem e precisam ser (re)postas: i) a compreensão de quais fatores próprios da natureza e da potencialidade destrutiva do capitalismo, bem como de quais elementos constitutivos do Estado e da Democracia, da Sociabilidade e da Subjetividade, precisam ser retomados, em termos históricos, estruturais, epistemológicos e factuais; ii) as formas excludentes, segregadoras e violentas do processo de reprodução em curso, em termos socioespaciais e territoriais; e iii) a destituição do conjunto de Direitos conquistados historicamente pelos trabalhadores e pelo conjunto da sociedade; o agravamento das formas de violência étnico-racial, de gênero e de classe; e a criminalização da pobreza e dos movimentos populares. Nesse sentido, os autores nos brindam com esta produção coletiva, que estabelece diálogos entre a Europa e a América Latina, tendo como embrião um Seminário realizado no espaço de uma Unidade Universitária Pública Regional, no interior do estado.
