Shaw, a pseudonym adopted by T. E. Lawrence, was first published in a limited edition in the U.K. in 1932 by Emery Walker et al, and in its first trade edition by Oxford U. P. in September, 1932. Then this "popular edition" was first printed in 1934. The popular edition is slightly shorter than the original trade edition. Near Fine condition. No Dust Jacket. The Text Block is clean, lightly tanned, tight, straight and square with brown topstain, deckled fore-edges and no markings of any kind other than about 12 pages with ink marks. The Binding is full tan cloth, very few color variances, with a circular black design of Odysseus and the Harpies on the front board, black title, etc., to the spine, unmarked map endpapers showing the wanderings of Odysseus, mildly bumped corners., and wear at the head of the spine.
