In excellent condition.Provenance: The Philip and Suzanne Schiller Collection of American Social Commentary Art, 1930-1970, Highland Park, Illinois.Joyce Wahl Treiman, 1922-1969, was born in Illinois was a prodigy as a draughtsman, beginning her studies in a children's class at the age of eight, but being immediately transferred to an adult class. She studies with Philip Guston at the University of Iowa. Her career as an artist ttok her to Chicago and New York, and later to Los Angeles, where she lived until her death. Her work is in many museum collections, including the Whitney and MMA in New York, LACMA in Los Angeles, and the Bates College Museum of Art in Lewiston, Maine.
