Troupe is a noted African-American poet, editor, journalist, and professor, best known as a biographer of Miles Davis and co-author (with Chris Gardner) of *The Pursuit of Happyness*, basis for the 2006 movie starring Will Smith. *OCLC* locates seven serial holdings of of a three-volume run of *Confrontation* spanning 1970-1974 (five in the U.S.).
