From the editor, "This brief Journal was kept by James Nourse, Jr., of Berkeley, Virginia when he and his brothers traveled to Kentucky in the winter of 1779 and 1780. The purpose of their trip was to acquire land in the new country, so it was no coincidence that the journey began just after the Virginia Land Commissioners began hearing the settler's claims at the frontier stations." Housed in protective mylar report cover with spine sleeve.
