Known by several aliases - Henry McCarty, Henry Antrim, Kid Antrim, Billy Bonney, etc. - the Kid's exploits and death at age 21 after a manhunt led by Sheriff Pat Garrett were, as historian Robert Utley argues, representative of the violence prevalent on the American frontier.
