    Hardcover. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION. This is NOT the copy of the book depicted in the stock photo. This is the first edition, published in 1904 by the American Book Co. Hardcover, original khaki and green decorative cloth, 269 pp, illustrated with drawings + color map by H H Vail. Very good, no dustjacket. Corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed on lower corner of front board, spine moderately tanned with approximately 1/4 inch fraying at head and foot, some soil on cloth. Internally, previous owner's signature with rubber stamps on paste-down endpapers and lower edge of title page, upper corner of last two rear endpapers creased, paper lightly age yellowed, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked. History of ancient Rome as told through the biographies of leaders from Romulus through Romulus Augustulus. History; children's; biography; Roman Empire.
