A limited edition copy of this very scarce collection of poetry, signed by author Elizabeth Rebecca Ward With an ink inscription by the author to the half title. The inscription reads, 'H.B.W. from V. A. L. 25.3.38. A slim successor to by Cotswold Corn', mainly personal to Eve: republished with her permission in a limited edition.' Although Elizabeth Rebecca Ward refers to herself as V. A. L. in this volume, the prolific English writer usually published under the pen-name Fay Inchfawn. As well as writing popular verse, religious works, and books for children, her works were often serialised in women's magazines. In a green paperback binding. Externally, generally smart. Lightly bumped to the edges, the extremities, and the head and tai of the spine. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Very Good. signed by author. book.

The main text is one of 150 copies printed, bound in white cloth with mounted paper labels, in a fine original dust jacket. The supplement is bound in decorative paper-covered boards with mounted paper label. The two volumes provide a short history and checklist (with revisions) of this short-lived California press, which was founded by Glenn Schaefer, a book collector and head of the Security Title Insurance and Guarantee Company of Los Angeles. Ward Ritchie writes in the Foreward to the main volume that "But for the untimely death of Glenn Schaefer soon after the press' inception.the San Pasqual Press might have become the premier publishing house of the West. The few books they did publish were outstanding trade publications, well-chosen and well-designed.".
