Enthält nur den Stechernamen und Druckvermerk, ansonsten ohne Bezeichnung oder Beschriftung. (die National Library of Medicine in den USA bezeichnet den Dargestellten als einen Mediziner "Dr. Weizel"). - Der Stecher Valentin Schertle war 1809 geboren in Villingen (Baden). Er begann seine Ausbildung 1831 in München, hielt sich danach einige Zeit in Warschau und Petersburg auf, wo er etliche Bildnisse von russischen und polnischen Zeitgenossen lithographierte. Danach arbeitete er als Zeichner bei Hanfstaengl in Dresden. "Seine lithographischen Arbeiten gehören zu den besten ihrer Art" (Nagler, Bd. 17, S. 163). - Blattränder um das aufgewalzte Chinapapier etwas beschnitten. An den Ecken alt montiert auf Trägerpapier. Außenränder etwas gebräunt, sonst sauber und sehr gut erhalten. Sprache: Deutsch Gewicht in Gramm: 1000.
