De Daverende Dingen Dezer Dagen was a comics column by Anton van der Valk (known as Ton van Tast) published in Haagsche Post from 1923 to 1948. This two-part comic book collects the wartime comics in this series to celebrate the liberation of the Netherlands after the surrender of Nazi German forces in May 1945. The comics are boisterous in visual appearance and overflowing with style. In content, they are especially critical of the NSB, the Dutch Fascist political party founded in 1931 which was integrated into the Nazi party.

The paper used for the coloured plates cause a severe browning to the opposite text-pages.
