Text relating to map on the reverse, in Dutch. Very faint foxing. A few small creases and one closed tear in the margin. The closed tear has been inexpertly repaired with tape on the reverse, effecting the text. A Good copy. *** It was first published in 'Novus Atlas' in 1635, (Koeman, Atlantes Neerlandici I, p. 91, (142)). The third state has the coat of arms at the borders filled in. Unusual to find in its uncolored, original state. *** Published by Willem J. Blaeu, in 1645, at the height of the Dutch map-making era. An excellent example of the high quality, and accuracy of this leading Dutch map publisher.
