Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Not a book but a 10-inch, 33-1/3 rpm "Unbreakable Microgroove Long Play" (mono) popular vocal vinyl record album, Decca DL 5081, near-mint vinyl in a very-good-plus cardboard jacket with some age-darkening to edges and a few pieces of "Magic" tape. Der Bingle offers "Embraceable You," "You Can't Take That Away From Me," "It Ain't Necessarily So," "I Got Plenty O' Nuttin,'" four other Gershwin classics. Lyrics on a few entries credited to DuBose Hayward or Buddy De Sylva, but in most cases to George's lovely wife Ira. Yes, a 1949, 10-inch LP. (As eight cuts would fit precisely on a true "album" of four 78 shellac "singles", we wouldn't be surprised to learn this package was originally available in that format.) Reduced from $19.

First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Not a book but a 10-inch, 33-1/3 rpm "Long Play" (mono) unbreakable vinyl record, Decca DL 6007, from the Decca "Music from Films Series." Very-good-plus vinyl which easily plays through a few dimples (as made), in a glossy very-good-plus cardboard jacket with previous owner's name scrawled to verso. The 1949 Paramount epic starred the handsome but wooden Victor Mature (told to drop 30 pounds for the role) and the incomparable Hedy Lamarr, who in this case appears to have agreed to (been allowed to?) actually do some acting. The album catalogs $60; here reduced from $24.
