A pedagogical English-language course prepared for Latvian refugees in postwar Germany, arranged in lessons combining vocabulary lists, pronunciation guides, and short texts. Produced in the Latvian Displaced Persons (DP) camp at Esslingen am Neckar, Germany, under the auspices of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (UNRRA). The author, J. Vidums, a former English teacher at the 2nd State Secondary School in Riga, compiled this manual to assist Latvian refugees in learning English for resettlement.
